One More Swiftwater Rescue Class!!!

June 29, 2025

I just added one more Swiftwater Rescue Skills class August 23/24. This is your last chance to take a rescue class on the Front Range this year!!!

Looking for anything else? Please reach out!!!

This is the time of year when we’ve filled all of the big group classes we had on the calendar and things start to slow down. We end up doing a lot of private lessons with individuals or small groups. If you can’t find a session of a class on the website, please reach out. We have waiting lists for some of them and would love to get additional sessions added if people request them.

Don’t worry, roll classes will continue all fall and winter long (other than when I’m on the Grand Canyon in November), we just don’t get confirmation of pool time until about 2 months out so we add those to the website as we get confirmation. Keep checking back for additional dates or ask when we’ll be listing more.

“Nik is a kind and patient instructor who is adept at providing specific feedback while creating a positive learning environment. I split my private lessons with individuals of different skill level and water craft from mine and everyone felt Nik delivered in being able to meet each person’s goals. .... The front range is really lucky to have someone with Nik’s experience and positive energy. - Hannah

PS. Made it this far? I like to include a random outdoor-related thing with each email: I’m going to be teaching at the National Swiftwater Rescue Conference October 17th-19th. I think I’m just going to be teaching Boat Based Rescue, but I want to teach about how all of your prusiks shouldn’t be loops anymore, they should be eye-to-eye prusiks so that you can tie VTs. The VT Prusik is my favorite knot in the whole wide world and there is a whole video about why it’s so amazing: https://youtu.be/szd5upswbVQ?si=WeiiT0JjG1NZj2YT
